COVID-19: Discretionary Top-Up Grant

In addition to the Government announced help for small and micro businesses, Exeter City Council have now released their discretionary business grant scheme. This is Government funded monies where local discretion has been allowed.

The scheme is aimed at:

  • Small and micro businesses
  • Businesses with relatively high ongoing fixed-property related costs
  • Businesses which can demonstrate a significant fall in income due to COVID-19
  • Businesses which occupy property, or part of a property, with a rateable value or annual rent or annual mortgage payments below £51,000

Grants in to the sum of £25,000, £10,000, £5,000, £2,500 and £1,000 are available. The level of grant received will be determined by how significantly the business has been affected by COVID-19.

For more information please click here.

We expect similar additional funding to be available in other areas and therefore please visit your local authorities website or get in contact with them directly if you are not within the Exeter area.

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update

We are still here to help you

We have activated our plan for our team to work remotely as much as possible. The office is still open and there will always be someone on reception in normal working hours but for obvious reasons, the telephone and email are the best way to contact us as we follow the UK Government guidance to reduce contact.

If you have any direct questions about your business and the effects of the virus please get in touch with your usual contact or directly to me david@kirkhills.co.uk or adrian@kirkhills.co.uk
